Mei, in case you forgot, was the support student during the Sports Festival who made it to the Final 16 round of the first-year tournament. She used her match against Iida as an opportunity to advertise her technology to potential Hero Agencies willing to hire her.
She possesses an almost maniacal zeal for her "babies. It's unlikely that Mei doesn't now have footage of the two recorded on her device. If she didn't piece it together already, she has all the information necessary to figure out Midoriya's secret when reviewing the footage later. But at present, she almost sees Midoriya as a secondary concern. Prior to this, Midoriya and Togata brought Eri around the school, showing her the various classes and projects worked on throughout the school.
My Hero Academia: Why All Might Has to Die for Deku to Become the Best Hero
This naturally included the Support Class, where one of Mei's titanic mecha weapons ended up blowing up in front of them. Midoriya approached Mei for support tech that might help him harness the powers of One For All better. In the last episode, Midoriya started training in order to better use more of his power -- including being able to channel One For All into projectile attacks. This required him to exert far more control over his Quirk than ever before. While All Might praises him for his ingenuity, he also warns that there's a distinct possibility that the support tech might get in the way at times, especially if it restricts his movements and abilities.
All this means that Mei will need to intimately understand Midoriya's Quirk in order to design equipment to properly aid him. In terms of keeping his secret under wraps, Midoriya and All Might shouldn't have anything to worry about when it comes to Mei. She cares so much about making technology that can bring her fame and fortune that she'd probably never even think of telling anyone anything about One For All. Mei is the perfect secret keeper.

If you do, read the very bottom for some important info! I want to be somebody for people to rely on, to look up to, and to believe in, just like who All Might is to me. But to do that, I need a quirk, or rather, an amazing ability that'd bring my dreams to life. Super strength, super speed, hardening, telekinesis… the abilities that have appeared in our world were endless—.
Fire, lots of fire. If there was one thing Izuku Midoriya could note from the scene, it was the intense heat that burned the area. Pure, blinding red and orange glowed through the night sky. He wouldn't be surprised if the rest of the area crumbled and burned down before the sun rose. My dreams were crushed, and I couldn't find anyone, not even my own mother, to bring me the support I need, the words I desperately needed to hear to save my passion, before it was lost: "You can become a hero— ".
He held his ground in an alleyway located from a branching city, miles from Hosu City. His outfit once again ripped open despite the upgrades he and Mei Hatsume worked on. It took years of resentment, from my peers and grown-ups, to keep this dream from fading. Thinking about it now, I'd like to believe that I'm just very lucky, to be honest. That was a joke and he knew it. Really, he was terrified.
His mind running a thousand miles an hour. After all, he knew who was after him. Him and—. It was going to be hard, but I was very happy nonetheless. After all, my dream, of becoming the Greatest Hero, was slowly starting to become a reality.
Get back here and face me, you goddamn copycat! Flakes of fire blew in the wind, but that wasn't enough to distract Tomura Shigaraki from his mission. He stood on top of debris of a once standing building, long since evacuated. Truth be told, he was mad, if the constant scratching on the underside of his neck was any indicator. Can't even stand to face me. Stealing the bait and making a break for it…" His scratching stopped, "I'll break him. Other heroes are making their way to this location as we speak.
During the Tournament arc, Battle Trial arc, the 2nd movie the movie and in multiple other occasions, Midoriya has done smashes with the same name and technique as All Might, but yet his classmates don't seem to catch on. I'm just really curious as to why that is. Cause if All Might has done a smash with the same name and very similar effect in terms of destructive power and techniquethen Midoriya doing the exact same technique should make it obvious that there's a pretty deep connection I guess.
Bakugo wasnt the only one to notice similarities between Midoriya and All Might. Asui pointed out when they were traveling in a bus that Midoriya quirk was like All Might's in season 1 episode 9.
The difference between them and Bakugo are. So in conclusion Bakugo and several others noticed similarities between Midoriya and All Might, but only Bakugo was exposed to additional information who made him conclude with almost certainty that All Might transfered his powers to Midoriya.
Taking into account that similar quirks exist in world of MHA, and that All Might is the most popular hero in the world, it is quite easy to imagine people with strength-empowering quirks, who want to be just like All Might, including attack styles.
This pretty much covers all similarities between Midoriya's and All Might's powers. Unlike the rest of Midoriya's classmates, Bakugo has important knowledge to see Midoriya's special circumstances - they have known each other before, and Bakugo is the only one who knows that Midoriya never had a quirk before.
This, along with "You are next" which was not seen by a lot of people helped him to realize truth. Deku told Bakugo here season 1 episode 8 that someone gave him his quirk though he didn't say who. Knowing that Bakugo just had to figure out who gave the quirk. Without the information Deku willingly told Bakugo, other characters don't know transferring quirks is possible so don't make the connections. Sign up to join this community. My Hero Academia tells the story of young Izuku Midoriya's journey to become the greatest superhero, Deku, just like his idol All Might, the no.
Since being selected by All Might to become the inheritor of his great superpower, One For All, Izuku and All Might have become an inseparable pair, as the older hero mentors his successor. However, the writing has been written all the wall ever since My Hero Academia started, that this series is going to throw a major moment of tragedy fans way, eventually. It's pretty much inevitable: All Might must die, so that Deku can become the best hero. The notion that All Might will, and must, die isn't something that's purely opinion, it's actually something already loaded into the My Hero Academia mythos: All Might's all-powerful One For All quirk carries a very tragic history with it.
The anime has already touched on the issue several times, and the most recent manga arc has gone even deeper into the matter. Without dropping any big spoilers, we now know that a defining quality of One For All is the tradition of its users all tragically dying by the hand of series big bad, All For One, who is the evil opposite of One For All. In fact, one of the biggest discoveries Deku and All Might have made is that the power's function is determined by the manner of succession in users:.
That extensive backstory forms a very clear and undeniable pattern, you'd be blind not to see: there isn't really room for two One For All users to stick around in the world for very long. Now, some My Hero Academia fans may argue that a big part of Izuku Midoriya's story of becoming the greatest hero could be having Deku finally break the cycle of death and loss by keeping All Might alive and defeating All For One.
It's a fair argument one while explore in detail, soon but there are a couple of clear objections to those notions in the series:. With a major war now underway in the My Hero Academia manga, it doesn't seem like Deku's story is about to somehow get less tragic- nor should it. War brings significant loss, and for Deku, the kids of U.
The death of the Pro Hero Symbol of Peace - especially with Toshinori going out with one last heroic non-powered act - seems like destiny. Did you know ComicBook.
